History of In One Accord
The origin of In One Accord is a story of the grace of God, expressed in the willingness of His people to serve His kingdom with greater skill and capacity.
Since 2017, Olé Education has been working with both local and international universities and school districts in order to offer the best online educational platform in the world.
In 2021, while in a consulting meeting at the Dallas Theological Seminary, Michael Ortiz, VP for Global Ministries, gave the Ole leadership team a challenge. He told Olé that if there was a low- cost scalable platform for seminaries that could work for both formal and non-formal instruction, they could easily train 3-5 times the number of pastors and church leaders they are training today. Challenge accepted!
This conversation raised two critical questions: How could this be done when most university customers were multi-million dollar projects that took several years to complete? Secondly, how would we raise the necessary funds to create a platform financially and technologically optimized for seminaries, ministries, and the local church in a variety of international contexts? The answer to both questions came through the formation of In One Accord, a 501c3 organization supported by fellow believers who are passionate about training pastors around the world.
Olé Education created the In One Accord seminary platform as a sophisticated solution to a complex problem. With the capability to work offline on a 2G cell phone in Uganda as easily as it can on a connected iPad in Hong Kong, the platform enables collaboration among any participating organizations that wish to work together.
In One Accord will launch its new system at The International Council for Evangelical Theological Education (ICETE) Conference in Izmir, Turkey, in November 2022. In One Accord endeavors to serve seminaries, ministries, publishers, and local churches as they train pastors and leaders to fulfill the Great Commission.
About our Tri-Ixthus Logo
First century Christians demonstrated their faith in Christ and commitment to one another by secretly tracing the sign of a “fish” (“ixthus” in Greek) with two intersecting arcs when they met. Today the Ixthus is one of the most recognized symbols of Christian communion. We have chosen this triune Ixthus symbol to represent the multitudes of Christians from many backgrounds, cultures and ministry platforms, serving together through technology In One Accord. Our desire as a technology platform is to serve the Church as she continues her kingdom service in obedience to the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20 – to disciple people of all nations in becoming like Christ.
